What You'll Need to Make the Recipe

Courvoisier® (Cognac)

Cognac adds a layer of sophistication and warmth to the drink. Courvoisier® is a high-quality cognac that lends depth and a subtle fruity note to the cocktail. If you don't have Courvoisier® on hand, another good cognac or even a decent brandy can serve as a substitute.

Tia Maria® (Coffee Liqueur)

Tia Maria® is essential for giving the Anatole Coffee its underlying coffee flavor. This Jamaican liqueur is built on a base of sugar cane and is infused with coffee beans, resulting in a rich and aromatic liquid. If unavailable, Kahlua® or any other coffee liqueur will work just as well.

Frangelico® (Hazelnut Liqueur)

This Italian liqueur is known for its smooth hazelnut flavor, which adds a nutty sweetness to the drink. If you don't have Frangelico®, you can use another nut-flavored liqueur, such as amaretto, although the flavor profile will be slightly different.

Coffee

Freshly brewed coffee is the foundation upon which this drink is built. The strong, robust flavor of coffee balances the sweetness of the liqueurs. Use a good quality, strong coffee to ensure the drink isn't overly sweet.

Whipped Cream

A generous dollop of whipped cream tops off the drink, adding a creamy, airy texture that contrasts beautifully with the rich, liquid layers beneath. Store-bought whipped cream is convenient, but if you have the time, homemade whipped cream is always a plus.

Chocolate Shavings

Finally, the chocolate shavings add an extra layer of luxury and a hint of bitterness that complements the sweet and nutty flavors of the drink. You can use dark, milk, or even white chocolate depending on your preference. A simple bar of chocolate will do, which you'll scrape with a knife to create the shavings.

Why You'll Love Anatole Coffee

The Anatole Coffee isn't just a drink; it's an experience. The warming notes of cognac and coffee liqueur create a comfortable, cozy feeling perfect for a chilly evening or a sophisticated after-dinner treat. The nutty sweetness of Frangelico® lingers on the palate, making each sip a delightful indulgence. The whipped cream and chocolate shavings not only add a visual appeal but also introduce varying textures that keep each sip exciting. Anyone who appreciates a well-crafted cocktail with a blend of complex flavors will find the Anatole Coffee irresistible.
